SOFI TUKKER — Matadora

If you've yet to become enamored by NY's SOFI TUKKER, it's about time to let that happen. Following a stellar debut in their single Drinkee last year, the duo are now out with a brand new track entitled Matadora, and it's every bit as amazing as we'd hoped. Led by the enchanting sounds of the Charango, a traditional Andean instrument, you'll find yourself promptly swept up in it's worldly atmosphere. Hand claps, bass kicks, shaking synths and vocalist Sophie Hawley-Weld’s chanted lyrics all fluidly join together, urging us surrender to our animalistic tendencies. It's organic and rhythmic, a tribal calling and four-to-the-floor dance cut, but most of all a brilliant display of what it means to be truly original. We don't hesitate to say these guys will be one of the most exciting acts to watch this year.

Stream Matadora in full below, and grab it on iTunes Friday, January 15th, as part of their upcoming debut EP Soft Animals via HeavyRoc Music.

Also, don't miss the duo on tour with The Knocks in the coming months.
