Munich's Dinnerdate has been lurking in the shadows over the past few months, but this week finally sees his return with a new remix of one of our recent favorites, SOFI TUKKER's delightfully odd debut single Drinkee. The pairing on this couldn't have been more perfect, with the German producer clearly finding inspiration in the original's own eccentricities, and taking us on an experimental journey of his own. He's created a lush atmosphere of organic instrumentals echoed around tribal house beats, which build with a crackling sort of energy upon each additional layer and the Portuguese vocals. It retains that worldly aspect we previously loved so much, but Dinnerdate's obviously made this one his own, and it's great to see him flex his production skills on something so out there from what we can usually expect from him. Clearly his time away has given him the chance to explore new sounds, and we can't wait to hear what's next, as we're sure there's much more in store come the New Year. For now, catch this aural treat below and enjoy.
