After a long holiday weekend here in the States, we're rested and ready to jump into the new week, and it just so happens we've got the premiere of a new remix from JR Nelson that's perfect to get things going with. The Brooklyn–based producer saw big success earlier this year through his debut release, a future beats take on Bon Iver's Skinny Love, and he looks to continue his ascent with this latest output. He's taken on Los Angeles artist Andra Day's Rise Up this time around, an admirable challenge considering the power of her vocals, but has risen to the occasion and then some. Brilliantly complimenting the originals soulful, uplifting tone with an array of momentous instrumentals, tantalizing synths and lively kicks, JR Nelson leaves us elevated and inspired. It's a prime display of the young producers promising talent, and though this may be the first time you're hearing his name on our site, it sure won't be the last. Catch the stream of his Rise Up remix below and enjoy.
