CS PREMIERE | Zibra — Paris (Ren Phillips Remix)
After supporting the likes of Years & Years, Citizens and Saint Raymond on tour this year, London trio ZIBRA are quickly making a name for themselves with their distinctive indie–rock style. Earlier this month they dropped their new single Paris, which has gained quite a bit of attention, proving immediately addicting with chunky guitar riffs, bold dance grooves and a chorus courtesy of lead singer Sam Battle that's infectious beyond belief.
Today we have the pleasure of premiering a remix of the single by fellow London–based artist Ren Phillips, who we've championed a number of times on the site previously. Hot on the heels of a slew of choice remixes and a new collaboration beside Cameron Bloomfield, Comfort In Your Company, Ren has positioned himself as a producer to be reckoned with. Here he's transformed ZIBRA's gritty original into a formidable house cut, pulling it onto the dancefloor through a combination of crisp hi-hats, sunken bassline and pitched vocal chops, that brings a dark vibe prepped for the late night. Get into it below and enjoy.
