Here's the deal. It's currently an unseasonable 88º here on the West Coast / Best Coast in San Francisco, and that's not looking to change for the next three days. Call it Indian Summer, call it climate change, but whatever the reason it's got us feel ten types of carefree, and we're obviously looking forward to what the weekend holds. First premiered via NS bossman option4's Ministry of Sound guest mix in July, we've had this jam drifting around the back of our minds like a hazy daydream ever since. Though a relatively fresh face, Denver young gun Jordan Gutierrez-Perez, aka Sylent EFX, has an unquestionable talent which shines through in spades here on his sophomore release Wonder. He wastes no time hooking us, pulling in a clever sample of Kanye West's I Wonder to intermingle with a layering of infectious piano melodies, crisp hi-hats, and a taut bass line.
