If you've ever listened to Thomas Jack's mixes, or seen him play a live show, you'll know that he casts a wide net when it comes to his influences and selections. Yesterday, the Aussie up-and-comer released a new remix of cellist and composer Ben Sollee's Letting Go, to celebrate finally have been granted his US Visa, and we were gladdened to hear him change things up a bit, hinting at his capable versatility. Inspired by his recent time spent in Tulum, Mexico, TJ has sampled the waves off the beach there, and combined them with his signature tropical groove, but also added a bit more of a house kick than we've grown used to — creating a laid-back yet energizing jam layered with the originals purposeful strings. It's been a few months since we've heard anything from him, and this is certainly a worthy comeback. Grab some beers, some friends, and get those emotions stirring.
