CS PREMIERE | Crooked Colours — Come Down (Jesse Rose Remix)
You may not be familiar with Perth's Crooked Colours quite yet, but trust us, you will be soon enough. The Australian three-piece have taken their home country by storm as of late, with a supporting slot touring alongside Sweat It Out! label mates RÜFÜS, in addition to continual play on the Triple J airwaves with their prominent single Come Down — and they're looking to push ahead with their assault this month through the release of their In Your Bones EP on April 21st. In anticipation, the guys have tapped a supreme selection of producers to remix the single including Yolanda Be Cool, Alison Wonderland, Wordlife, and our personal pick of the bunch, Jesse Rose. No stranger to greatness, seen in full display on his recent Pete-Tong-Essential remix of RÜFÜS' Desert Night, Jesse gives us a repeat performance here — and dare we say upstages himself. Playing into the original's soulful grittiness and indie-dance sentimentalities, the LA-based producer imbues it with tantalizing arrangements over a mesmerizing backbeat for a slow-burning, late night treatment. Soak it in below, and keep those ears perked for the Remixes release this Friday, April 4th.
