JackLNDN — Drop Out EP

JackLNDN | Drop Out EP We've been followers of young up-start JackLNDN for over a year now, watching the development of his characteristic sound and seeing his steady rise in 2013 through big remixes of Daft Punk, Goldroom, and Just Kiddin. Today marks the release of the London producer's debut EP Drop Out, a four-track set which nicely frames his unique synthesis of electro, nu-disco, and house, for a fresh sound sure to pull you in.

We're brought in with title track, Drop Out, which kicks off with a cleverly used lyrical overtone and an increasingly energetic build that drops into neatly arranged layers of atmospheric euphoria and springing beats — an ideal catalyst to build off of. Though the rest of the EP follows suit in overarching vibe, each track utilizes individual elements as their strength. Where Aeterna comes in as a lively slice of sweet Balearic bliss with soft spanning vocal touches, Make Your Mark takes a more alert approach through fluid electro pangs and tantalizing synth notes. Rounding out the effort is In Paradisum, on which we're met with a steady-building tropical-tinged journey rolling all good things into one, for what might be the most explorative of the bundle.

There's no doubt JackLNDN's found his style, crafting an altogether finely tuned and highly engaging experience here. Have a listen to and pick-up his Drop Out EP in full for free below, and enjoy!
