Kiesza — Hideaway (Gorgon City Remix)

A couple of weeks back Hideaway, the instantly irresistible debut release from Canadian artist Kiesza, surfaced via the freshly minted NYC label Lokal Legend and immediately garnered attention from the likes of Annie Mac, Mistajam, Pitchfork, Hype Machine fanatics and more. Now making it's way into the light is an ace remix courtesy of heavy hitters Gorgon City, who's acclaimed style of bass-infused house happens to be all over the original, prompting our curiosity as to whether their hands were on the production. Speculations aside, the duo's take on the tune's slick rhythms is nothing short of the type of heat we'd expect from them — stepping in with a sonorous depth and rough-and-ready vibe tailormade to get bodies moving. Though the Hideaway EP release date doesn't come until March 23rd, it's success is already apparent and we'll surely be hearing a lot of this one going forward, which we're not mad about at all.
