KAASI — Caroline Street

London beatmaker KAASI first caught our eye a year ago with his collaborative effort Heartbeats (co-produced by the equally enthralling TÂCHES), and has seemed to only further his talent for tender, whispering rhythms since then. That’s exactly what’s in store today, and it couldn’t be more needed, as his track Caroline Street could easily be the anthem for Sundays worldwide. To call it smooth would be an understatement, and downtempo too limiting – over soft snaps and light piano breaks the producer expresses a level of sincerity that is at first surprising then comforting, striking the perfect balance between melody and atmosphere that is void of all monotony.
