Saturday and we're feeling fine. It's impossible not to enjoy this brilliant NYC afternoon with Allen French's latest release drifting through our speakers. If you're a regular follower of the site, you've undoubtedly seen us championing the LA–based producer throughout the year. This week marks the release of his debut EP, Novo Mundo, which simply said is the best work we've heard from the project yet. From the colorfully upbeat, Portuguese–flavored opener Nova Vida featuring the talented Joe Berry of M83 on instrumentals, to the sonically stunning 7AM with Amie Miriello's immaculate vocal work, and Sous La Terre's percussive house basslines — this EP's an inspired worldly exploration that feels like just the start for the blossoming artist.
