Over the past year or so Gryffin has steadily built himself one of the strongest catalogues around, amassing a wildly loyal following of his emotive, indie–house style. All that considered makes it even more impressive that it's only this week we're finally see the release of his very first original, marking the start of a new stage for the NYC–based producer. Heading Home, a collaboration with talented Aussie vocalist Josef Salvat, is a prime example of what Gryffin's work is all about. Simple, yet expertly layered melodies weave around the brilliant topline, joined by stirring instrumentals to give the track that energetic and versatile edge he does so well, leaving us inspired yet reassured all at once. It feels as though he's truly arrived as an artist with this one, and we can't wait to see what the rest of the year holds.
