Years & Years — Desire (Jerry Folk Remix)

If you frequent our site often you'll already know what massive Jerry Folk fans we are, and it just so happens we also love all things Years & Years, so it really goes without saying that this remix of Desire is right up our alley. It's been great to watch Jerry come into his own over the past year, and this latest output is definitely one of his most impressively constructed and mature to date, which might be something we proclaim for every new track of his but what can we say, it's true. The Norwegian producer has worked the original over with a deep, grooving vibe full of funky synth lines and clever bass kicks, creating a really stunning interplay with the vocals courtesy of Years & Years frontman Olly Alexander. It's of a style and caliber we'd expect to hear from heavyweights such as Yuksek, Alex Metric or even The Magician's early work and, as if you need yet another, a clear reason why Jerry Folk is someone you'll want to keep an eye on if you aren't already.
