LA duo Bee's Knees just dropped their newest original off their Variety Pack EP, entitled Old School, and it's one seriously funky ride. This time around they teamed up with vocalist Jen Hirsh from fellow LA-based duo Monogem, featuring vibrant saxophone riffs and a grooving bassline with clean percussion layers, all pulled together flawlessly into a nu-disco inspired jam. The guys previously made a name for themselves when they got together with Kill Paris to remix his own track Falling In Love Again, and you can definitely hear he's had an influence on their style. In fact, their EP is set for release on Kill Paris' own label Sexy Electric. One thing's for sure, Bee's Knees are an act to keep a keen eye on going forward.
July 30 marks their release party at Sound Nightclub in LA, so if you're local and digging these vibes, don't miss it. In the meantime, listen to the new jam below, which they've generously hooked up for free download.
