Royal — Passenger | Jai Wolf & Hotel Garuda Remixes

Yesterday, Royal release a remix package for his essential track Passenger, featuring reworks from an all–star lineup of Jai Wolf, Hotel Garuda, Lazerdisk x Dream Beach, and Catt Moop. And while the entire collection is definitely worthy of note, it was immediately clear which were our favorites.

Jai Wolf completely transforms the track, playing with the pitch and chopping up the vocals, as well as adding his own percussion and synth notes. By building in a series of unique arrangements he broadens the original's range, making each section more engaging and attention-grabbing. With the up–and–comers previous track, Indian Summer, having already reached over one–million plays on SoundCloud in only a month, this new effort just further displays his future potential.

Next up, Hotel Garuda puts their signature spin on the tune, featuring their adept house touch, melodic synths and a rhythmic bassline to pair with the original vocal work. It's a more subtle alteration than that of Jai Wolf, but no less effective, coming as a great showcase of what a keen ear and versatile palette these guys have. The duo has been on fire lately, so be sure not to miss this and more coming soon.
