So it should come as no surprise that Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP's latest is clearly an immediate favorite, and even more, that their penchant for unexpected and flawlessly executed production is unmatched.
Soul Makossa is, simply put, and assault on the senses. And we mean that in the best way possible. If it were a food it would be spicy Cajun paella mixed with Moroccan curry wrapped in a handmade Peruvian tortilla. If it were a clothing style it would be a traditional Bedouin tob accented by Tokyo hipster flare and topped with an authentic cowhide cowboy hat.
