CS PREMIERE | Solar Heist — Wait For Love

At a time saturated with dozens of new artists weekly and an increasing overlap of styles, it makes it all the more exciting to come across an act who is able to successfully set themselves apart, and LA's Solar Heist is just that for us right now. The duo, made up of longtime DJ Justin Karcich and front man Jason Powers, brings a distinctive and refreshing approach to their music that hurdles genres and current trends, for a sound both universally palatable and pleasantly unexpected all at once.

The guys are on the cusp of releasing their five-track Day Trip EP, which brilliantly ties together Justin's electronic production and Jason's catchy songwriting, and today we're happy to be premiering Wait for Love, the first single from the set. The track comes as a collaboration with British instrumentalist and producer Marcus Brown, famed for touring with the likes of Madonna, Ozzie Osbourne, and Seal, and wastes no time in sweeping you up. Powerful keys resonate in time with cinematic lyrics, pulling you into an electric undercurrent and a sea of exhilarating guitar riffs and percussive notes. Then that vocal hook hits and before you know it, you're ready to go again. To put it simply, this one will take you for a ride.
