One of the more promising acts we've got our eyes on at the moment is the recently LA-based via Sydney producer Sondrio. We've been privy to his talents for a bit now, but lately he's made new strides forward, laying himself a solid base with excellent remixes for the likes of Calvin Harris, Pusha T and George Maple. Yesterday, continuing these choice selections, he dropped a fresh take on Gold, by fellow Aussie and worldwide crooner Chet Faker. In line with his Vacant Space rework, Sondrio's taken a subtle approach to this one, mixing Chet's soulful vocals with an expert layering of elegant keys, echoing claps, and a palpable bassline. It's an ace piece of work, with it's complexities further revealed upon each listen. Snag a free copy here, and keep an ear out for more from this up-and-comer soon.
