Figgy — You Were Mine

After a year or so of choice remixes — for Lykky Li, Banks, Phantogram — and excellent originals — such as Can't Hide, Do It Like Us, and The Truth — NYC's Figgy is now on the cusp of releasing a brand new EP and it's just what we've needed. This week he dropped the lead track from the set, entitled You Were Mine, and to say it's up our alley would be an understatement. That signature Figgy slow-draw pulls us through on lanky house grooves with a slight tropical tinge, all layered underneath a soulful vocal cut that ties the whole piece together seamlessly. Whether you're lounging poolside feet in the water, or shuffling to the center of the dancefloor towards your girl, this one will take you there.
