Beat Connection — Hesitation

Beat Connection // Hesitation

The wait is finally over! More than two years after dropping their blissful LP The Palace Garden, Seattle group Beat Connection has officially returned yesterday with the soulful and seriously resonant new cut Hesitation, diverting from a previous affinity for Balearic electro-pop to deliver a uniquely percussive and generally calming sonic experience. The track manages to avoid bombastic overproduction, as pan flutes and hand claps do a fine job of guiding lead singer Tom Eddy’s vocals through a lyrical journey that details, as you may have guessed, that “one” moment of genuine hesitation. Funky guitar strums are also in the mix here, and by the end you might find yourself packing your bags for that adventure you've been putting off for way too long. Lucky for all of us, a new album is in the works for the Northwest trio, and we can only hope that the rest will be of equally high caliber. Stream the track below and be sure to check out their upcoming tour dates starting in June.
