RÜFÜS — We Left (Night Version)

RUFUS Back in the early months of 2011 we stumbled upon a brilliant track titled We Left, by a little known band at the time out of Sydney called RÜFÜS, which happened to be the first song they ever wrote. It took a total of one full listen for it to immediately put them firmly at the top of our list of artists to keep an eye on. Now three years, numerous incredible releases, and plenty of well-deserved international recognition later, the Australian three-piece has become one of the countries hottest exports. We tell you all this, because today they put out a new version of said tune, and well, it's got us falling in love all over again. With the intention of creating a version more appropriate next to their current songs and live sets, they've extended out the build, added an extra set of layers, and tightened up the buoyant bassline constructing an effectively entrancing atmosphere. If you've heard and revered the original, you'll know this worthy rework is without a doubt not one to miss.

And since we're on the subject of RÜFÜS/RÜFÜS DU SOL, check out JÜAN DU SOL's killer take on Chet Faker's Blush as well.

ALSO because this should absolutely be on your radar if it's not already, catch their amazing cover of Foals' My Number over Booka Shade's Charlotte. Unreal.
