Whenever our good buds The Soundmen send a new track our way, we know we're going to love it before we even press play. Their penchant for delivering productions with a fresh sound unhindered by trends has never failed us yet, and this new one's no different. Following a successful take on Youngblood Hawke's Say Say last year, the band has once again tapped NYC/Seattle duo for their capable remix duties. This time putting their original stamp on the LA group's single Pressure, the guys have pulled together a proper reinvention here, dismantling it down to the vocal bones and building it back up with a potent combination of big beat percussion and ample glitzy synths for a summertime vibe with a slight electro edge. The swelling surges and accompanying breakdowns create a push-pull effect that works brilliantly when intertwined with singer Sam Martin's vocals. Hit play and get your Friday going right.
