Over the past year or so Munich's Simon Hoppe, aka Dinner Date, has been steadily putting out flawless remixes for the likes of BOY, José Gonzales, Angus & Julia Stone and more — quickly becoming one of our favorite emerging talents. Yesterday, after much too long of a break in our opinion, he released a new rework, this time of Editors latest single Honesty, a track thoroughly suited for these cold and grey winter months we've been having. He's meticulously built slow-burning melodies and various layers of surrounding beats around singer Tom Smith's emotion-laden vocals, constructing a pleasantly reflective, downtempo atmosphere. He's proven himself time and time again to possess an acute attention to detail, clearly spending every moment to perfect his productions, a quality oft overlooked in today's over-saturated dance music scene and one we can certainly appreciate. Always the generous guy, Dinner Date's giving this one out free via his Facebook, so pick yourself up a copy, and keep your ears perked for some excited things coming from him soon.
