Rise & Fool — Toxic

Always ones to bring an element of surprise and intrigue to their productions, Nancy, France based act Rise & Fool have blown us away with their newest release, a brilliantly done rendition of Britney Spears' seminal 2003 track Toxic. Putting their versatility on display, the duo has taken the Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg produced tune, now known better as 2/3 of trio Miike Snow, and provided a twist on their usual disco-tinged style, flipping the original on it's head through a blend of delicately spun vocal work, seductive, spaced-out downtempo beats, and moments of spirited builds which set us up for eloquent drops only leaving us with a desire for more.
