We're starting a brand new monthly feature today with our friends across the pond at Chase The Compass, called Shore–to–Shore. Having been fans of each others musical tastes for awhile now, we thought why not get together once a month to trade a collection of top tracks from artists we've been digging from our respective locales as of late. We'll be posting our lists on each other's sites, in turn giving our favorite artists exposure in a market they might not otherwise have hit. Cool? Cool.
Now that we've covered that, let's jump into some tunes. Below are CTC's picks for this month, highlighting some excellent UK cuts you'll definitely want to make note of. Jump in and enjoy!
The Writers Block — Don’t Look Any Further
UK based trio Detox, Kam, and Haile banded together some four years over a love of UK garage and house that has been unwavering ever since. Culminating in The Writers Block project, each individual member honed their skills through their time together – and with each production are getting better and better.

Sakima — Energy (Courage Remix)
A young lad hailing from Lincoln in the UK Midlands, Courage is a producer we’ve had our eye on for quite some time. This tune was recently included in The Magician's 'Magic Mixtape 45' and that’s more than enough to convince. This one’s going to be big!

Gorgon City — Go All Night Feat. Jennifer Hudson (Illyus and Barrientos Remix)
Long time CTC partners in crime, dynamite DJ duo Illyus and Barrientos have turned their hand to Gorgon City’s latest EP offering, the aptly titled ‘Go All Night’. We’re talking bulbous, bouncy bass lines and a bloody epic build up, try not to like it, we dare you!

Bearcubs — Touch
London based producer Bearcubs has set the underground alight with some diverse production work over the last year. His latest single ‘Touch’ signed to one of our favourite labels Love & Other, is a melodic, lo-fi cut that draws influence from modern hip hop and future bass.

Mia Dora — Myth feat Machines Don’t Care
Mia Dora are a production duo from Glasgow who have struck a chord with their brand of energy fueled, underground house. Their latest EP has just dropped on Madtech records and features the EP title track ‘Myth’ featuring Machines Don’t Care’. It’s an emotive house cut featuring some haunting piano progressions that really showcase their polished production style.

Bluford Duck — Realness
Bluford Duck is an Edinburgh based producer who draws influence from 80's Italo Disco, Rave and US House. His break through single ‘Shoulder To Cry On’ was picked up by Doctor Dru’s Jeudi Records last year and was a staple in any discerning deep house DJ’s set. His latest EP was released via Dear Deer Records and features ‘Realness’ - an upfront house banger.

Journeyman — Crash Reel
Journeyman are a production duo based out of London who formed at the beginning of 2013. Their latest single ‘Crash Reel’ was released via Above & Beyond’s label Anjundeeep, It’s an soulful melodic house number that samples some seriously serene vocals. These guys are definitely ones to watch.

Russ Chimes — Astral
Hot off the press this week, it’s Russ Chimes’ brand spankin’ new three tracker, ‘Russ Chimes Presents Terraza’, which just drop yesterday via the producer’s own imprint, Uno Mas Records. Something of a London legend, Russ saw chart success with hits ‘Turn Me Out’ and ‘Back To You’, but has now return to his more club ready roots, crafting a balearic-flecked bass roller of undeniable brilliance.
