CS Premiere • Leo Islo — Golden Grave (Cabinett Remix)

Leo Islo's Golden Grave EP was a definite highlight at the start of the summer, and now it looks as though the release will see us through the end of the year as well, with a set of remixes making an appearance. A choice collection of reworks all around, our personal favorite has to be the remix of the EP's title track, coming by way of Seoul producer Cabinett.

It's delightfully coincidental that the word 'golden' appears often throughout this one, seeing as Cabinett has given the already stunning original a buoyant nu–disco twist fit for those peak–time sunshine days. Vibrant keys add a bright edge to the snappy percussive backbeat, while lively horns and pop flourishes elevate Leo Islo's uniquely infectious vocals throughout. Forget the fact that the winter chill is setting in, throw on your best turtle touting Vilebrequins, grab a pair of bold sunglasses and plot that escape to warmer weathers now.
