Jerry Folk — I'm Honestly Not A Gangster

After garnering massive attention over the past year for his choice remixes and originals, Norwegian producer Jerry Folk has been steadily rising through the ranks of the electronic scene with his distinctive style of dance music. Coming fresh off of the release of hit originals such as To My Soul and You Know (with fellow Next-Wave signee Eloq), the young gun is back with another inventive new tune in I'm Honestly Not A Gangster. Folk goes back to his roots on this one, combining elements of nu-disco and deep house to create an effortlessly groovy atmosphere fit for easing both mind and body. The funky bassline sets the tone for the track, as slick synths and catchy vocal lines are laid-out around it. Like many of Folk's tracks, this latest release showcases the smooth soulfulness the producer is fast becoming known for.
