Sia — Alive (Plastic Plates Remix)

We have just one question before getting the weekend started. Is this real life? Over the past few months LA–based, Sydney–bred producer Felix Bloxsom, aka Plastic Plates, has put out a seemingly endless run of top notch releases, and this week sees the arrival of yet another.

This latest output is a remix of Sia's Alive, which quickly makes it clear he intends to close out the year on a high note. It isn't the first time the two artists have collaborated, this being the third remix Plastic Plates has done for the Aussie superstar, not to mention having played drums in her band up until 2010. That intimate understanding definitely comes through here, with PP effortlessly harnessing the strength of the original then dressing it up with intricately spun house beats and glitzy trimmings. There's really no simpler way to say it than, this one's irresistible. Bless you, Felix, patron saint of good feels.
