VIBES — Fast Train EP

We've been soaking up the sunshine tunes that LA trio VIBES have been putting out ever since their debut Stone Floors and Calm Tigers EP hit our ears early last year. Past that successful release and much talked about live shows, we found ourselves eagerly awaiting the arrival of new material. At long last our wishes have been granted, in the form of their new Fast Train EP, which features a stellar original alongside remixes from Colour Vision, Parakord, and SF's own Manics, all worthy reworks in their own right. The title track came out just as well as we'd imagine, with singer Alex Slavin's unique vocals washed over in bright tropical-tinged nu disco beats, with crisp percussion and a deadly bassline to set it off right. This one will without a doubt be getting some serious spin time in the coming summer months. The four-track set is out this Friday, April 4th, as the first release on the newly minted label from our good friends and fellow spreaders of feel-good dance music at VibeWithIt (formerly WallflowerFood). Get up and get down.
