Colleagues – Parent’s House (Emil Héro Remix)

Our love for Swedish indie dance group Urban Cone continues to grow with this brilliant new remix from Emil Héro. Emil Gustafsson is one member of Urban Cone as well as having just started a side project under the new moniker, and is sure to be producing a number of more electro-centric gems than that of his main band. His first official release of fellow Swedes Colleagues strangely nostalgic track Parent’s House is a killer dance cut, and a great display of what’s to come.

Atlas Genius – Trojans (Lenno Remix)

The Monday after a long weekend of Labor Day festivities just got a whole lot better. Not only do we get a brand new, undoubtedly awesome Lenno tune, but it happens to be a remix of Atlas Genius. Two artists on one track, both of whom we can never seem to get enough of, talk about a win! Lenno works his usual enchanting magic with a sparkling disco infused beat that instantly alters your head bobbing indie-pop stroll into a full on one-man dance party down the sidewalk. Listen to that piano! With its irresistibly infectious vibe, there couldn’t be a more perfect tune to kick off a short work week and let your mind begin to dream of the coming weekend activities.

Twin Shadow – Golden Light (Lonsdale Boys Club Remix)

Lonsdale Boys Club are one of those names that has danced around the edge of our minds for a little while, but are just now coming into full view. And we’re sure glad they did. These guys have got some serious funk and swagger. Their most recent tune to date is a brilliant house remix of Twin Shadow that though is a bit more subdued than some of their other productions, is still a straight up jam. They’ve taken the original out for a round on the dance floor with glittering beats and hand claps aplenty. Look no further for something to get those feet moving and parties popping.

VISITOR – COMING HOME (Viceroy Remix)

We’ve been anxiously awating the arrival of VISITOR’s new EP since Lucas and Kyle sent a preview our way last month. We’ll start by saying it’s fulfilled our wildest dreams and then some, reminding us why they’ve been one of our favorites since the release of Los Feeling a couple of years back. Now with the remixes trickling in, we’re getting to hear some of our other top producers interpret the tracks for themselves. After the obvious success of the Lifelike remix released last week, they’ve graciously gifted us with the COMING HOME remix from SF’s own Viceroy – for free! It’s nothing short of spectacular, fully justifying its VISITOR given classification as ‘pure sex’. Hot damn.

Dragonette – Live In This City (Heren Remix)

Everybody loves a solid Dragonette remix, with lead singer Martina Sorbara’s voice being undeniably infectious. On this new one of Live In This City, Barcelona’s Heren has somehow inflated their fun-filled, indie dance vibe to a whole new level. He’s added a bouncy electro beat that compliments the pop flavor almost unbearably well. We only just happened across him the other day via Dragonette’s Facebook page, but we’ll surely be keeping our ears open for more in the future. No better option than this to start your week with! Hot Chip – Night And Day (Dead Rock Machine Remix)

Hot Chip are easily one of the most stylistically innovative bands to ever come around, and their new track Night And Day is no exception. So when someone pulls off a remix of them that actually works, we’re always impressed. And this remix from Paris’ Dead Rock Machine really works. This gem arrived along with a modest note in our inbox a few days back, and we had no idea what a punch it was going to pack upon first listen. It’s brimming with French electro attitude, a touch of disco, and a pop topping that sets the whole things off just so. Look out, Dead Rock Machine have got a style to be reckoned with.

Monsieur Adi – Youth

Monsieur Adi is one of those producers that we just can never seem to get enough of, and this year so far has been all too quiet on his front for our liking. But now out of nowhere he’s put up a new track entitled Youth that sure hits that sweet spot. Opening with an ominous echoing voice that leads into a refreshing exploration of sound for him, we can only revel in this new territory. It’s a joyous, bouncing, and energetic tune that certainly fills the void of Monsieur Adi productions as of late. Here’s to patiently waiting for a debut album while jamming with our hands in the air.

Theme Park – Jamaica (Gigamesh Remix)

London’s Theme Park was first brought to our attention a few of months back through RAC’s delightful remix of their track Two Hours. We were instantly hooked by their lively vibe. Now it seems they’ve come across our radar once again. This mix of their new tune Jamaica by Gigamesh, who’s been truly unstoppable recently, is one choice cut of indie dance music. It’s buoyant and vivacious in spirit, making it possibly the most enjoyable jam to splash across our ears as of late. If they keep up this trend of joining forces with some of our favorite producers, we’re sure we’ll be hearing more from them soon.

Youth Lagoon – Daydream (Mörk’s Epic Snares Remix)

Chicago’s John Mörk, or simply Mörk as he goes by, recently entered our view and has definitely captured our attention. Formerly of the duo The Sound Republic he’s no newcomer to production but is traveling in a new direction from his underground funky house roots. Joining forces with the synth and a nice dose of indie flavor he has put out a bundle of indie dance gems over the past couple of months. This latest effort of reworking the amazing Youth Lagoon’s Daydream is right on point with the tracks title. It leaves you drifting off into another land to the beat of your own drum.

Coldplay – Charlie Brown (Jacques Lu Cont Mix)

This new mix of Coldplay’s Charlie Brown from Jacques Lu Cont premiered a couple of weeks back on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show, and we’ve been waiting on the edge of our seats for it’s release ever since. Lucky for us, this one’s in line with his recent trend of giving away tracks for free. A looped vocal chant and downpour of tribal drums lead you in with a bang. That is until they drop back to make room for an irresistible buildup with mind numbing vibrations. Jacques Lu Cont’s shifting styles are seamlessly weaved together by Chris Martin’s bellowing lines. If you’ve heard the original, you’ll know how much he made this one his own. Production perfection.

Swedish electro-synth duo Lo-Fi-Fnk just released the remixes for their single Shut Out The World, and man are they good. They re-outfitted the track themselves with great success, pumping up the heavy synth. But what we’re really here to talk about is the effort that Brisbane, Australia outfit Mitzi put forth on their take. Turning the track into an indie electro jam of the highest quality, full of flavor and sweet disco vibes. Phoenix – Lisztomania (MAKJ Remix)

Well after the frenzy has settled on the plethora of Phoenix remixes following their rise to fame a couple of years back, MAKJ has picked up their tune Lisztomania once again, dusted it off, and given it one hell of a shine. Remixing the track is nothing new, having about eight versions come to mind at first thought, but MAKJ did a pretty phenomenal job with this one. It’s glitzy, funky, and powerful, which is a bit of a switch up from his usual style, but we can dig it. And maybe it’s actually coming at the perfect time, when everyone’s craving something new in the way of Phoenix. Now we just need the band themselves to get some new material put out. AlunaGeorge – You Know You Like It (Bondax Remix)

Bondax are a duo out of Lancaster, UK who are making some really great groovy downtempo tunes. They describe their sound as having an “airy sunny romantic vibe” we find akin to a day filled with friends, blue skies, and adventures. They’re both 17-years-young and exploring some unique sounds which this remix of AlunaGeorge’s You Know You Like It is a prime example of. They cut Aluna Francis’ vocals up to be a light-hearted sort of chant. It’s bouncy, chopped up, and just an overall fun, danceable track. The Aston Shuffle create some amazing tracks with phenomenal vocals, we’ve been digging on Won’t Get Lost since it first surfaced a few months back. The original is a pretty glossy disco number on it’s own, but ’96 Bulls have really pumped up the funk and transformed it into a total jam. They’ve been on our radar since their awesome remix of Jump Jump Dance Dance’s tune Show Me The Night a year or so back. Gracias – 40k Volts (Lenno Remix)

Disco wiz Lenno just unleashed a new track for us in thanks for reaching 3,000 fans. Originally he made the tune for The Nike Blast in Helsinki for Nike Women Finland. It’s always a brighter day when he puts out a new piece of shiny disco beats. His sound is easily one of the most infectious out there right now. Gracias, JTT, and Eboi’s original is so drastically different from this, it’s hard to believe it’s the same track. Lenno injected some serious funk into the thing, turning it into the perfect track to kick the Summer off right. We’ll never get tired of hearing this guy, always a jam, always good vibes.

Fort Lean – Sunsick (Royal Scams Remix)

This track was already great, but now it’s been brought up to a whole new level. Glasgow’s Royal Scams made an awesome jam out of Fort Lean’s track Sunsick. It creeps in slowly with a heavy synth in unison to the vocals, and steadily begins to build pace as your brought into the bulk of the track. Then the drums kick, the beat breaks, and you’re off on a banging and raucous ride. The tune compliments Fort Lean’s yearning vocals to a T. Perfect for a solid foot tap, desk drum session.
