TJH87 — Deadlock (Robotaki Remix)

Earlier this week Mixmag let loose this exclusive track and we’ve been yearning for the weekend to begin ever since. The Finnish electro duo TJH87 got a remix rinse from none other than Robotaki and the result is absolutely incredible. Their styles are an ideal compliment to each other, mixing TJH87′s slightly funk-infused heavy electro with Robotaki’s own compressed basslines and French house leanings. Here those two collide perfectly, creating a tune with an enormous amount of flavor and serious dancefloor vibes, making it a prime choice to kick the weekend off with. The free download can be scooped up via Mixmag below!
Cedric Gervais & Howard Jones — Things Can Only Get Better (Landis Bootleg)

Miami’s Landis has been consistently putting out banging tracks over the past year, including his recent original Get Down with Henry Fong which was premiered on Hardwell on Air back in February. His latest production is a bootleg of the brand new Cedric Gervais & Howard Jones track Things Can Only Get Better, and it is an absolute monster. He’s kept the originals breakdown fairly intact but dosed it with a winding, bouncy electro drop that’s reminiscent of something you might hear from TJR, and is sure to make your get together, rooftop rager, and club table all go off. Don’t hesitate to add this one to your collection, the weekend’s almost here!
THE JAM JAR – 007

And we’re back! We’ve been on a slight hiatus as we ventured down to the desert for an absolutely epic week at Coachella, but we made it back in one piece and just in time to deliver some hot new selections for our seventh installment of The Jam Jar. We’re going deep, disco, and funky this week – capturing those moments of pure bliss on the dancefloor and bringing you a bevy of party-worthy house vibes. This round kicks off with some amazing work on The Knocks & St. Lucia’s new tune Modern Hearts from Jam Jar regular Goldroom, and the beats continue with more new ones from Kidnap Kid, Louis La Roche, Blake! and more. Have a listen and download them all for free below!
AlunaGeorge – Attracting Flies (Andrea Bootleg Edit)

Since we discovered the upcoming French producer Andrea a couple of weeks back, we haven’t been able to stop listening to his tracks. His inventive style that mixes organic electronic, R&B, future garage, and bass melodies together, is ridiculously infectious. AlunaGeorge’s new tune Attracting Flies has already been on heavy rotation for us since it’s release, and now that we’ve got this brilliant edit from Andrea, that’s sure not changing anytime soon. He’s added an excellent arrangement of compressed bass and bubbling beats to Aluna Francis’ delicious vocals. Fans of Flume, What So Not, James Blake, and Bondax take note, Andrea is definitely one to watch this year. Snag the download, and some necessary bonus tunes, below! And while you’re at it, check out this killer live mix he just did in collaboration with our new friends Banana.
THE JAM JAR – 002

The Jam Jar, a brand new feature we’ll be rolling out every Wednesday going forward. The concept is pretty straightforward, each week we’ll add a new collection of indie-dance, house, and nu-disco style jams to the jar – the kind of tunes that carry you off into sun-filled daydreams, that are packed full of funky beats and deep basslines, and that most importantly make your day a more enjoyable one.
Another Wednesday, another collection of sweet jams. This week’s list is stacked with extra funk, energetic vibes, and of course irresistible indie-electro beats. Below you’ll find tunes from fresh faces like Manchester’s Nudist remixing the amazing Swim Deep, to well-established forces such as Monarchy, who’ve brilliantly laid a cover of Lana Del Rey’s Video Games over their own Phoenix Alive. Download them all below, and as always, enjoy!

Enter, The Jam Jar, a brand new feature we’ll be rolling out every Wednesday going forward. So without further delay, let’s kick this week off with a set of 100% certified gems that we’ve had on repeat as of late, from up-and-comers like The Golden Pony, to staples such as Viceroy. Grab them all and start looking forward to the weekend a little early!
Tamia – So Into You (WMNSTUDIES Bootleg)

Vancouver/Toronto based production duo WMNSTUDIES are on a mission to bring back the 90′s r&b with their newest set of releases, sampling iconic tracks from both Tamia and INOJ. Most recently they’ve transformed the classic jam So Into You into a tropical tinged, deep house/future garage fusion, which goes over perfectly. Claiming influence from some of our top producers like the French Express crew, The Magician, and TEED, we can’t hardly say their sound didn’t immediately appeal to us. Sink your teeth into these chill Sunday beats.
Avicii vs Nicky Romero – I Could Be The One (Bombs Away Remix)

Our favorite Australian party starters Bombs Away continue their successful remix streak with yet another earful of fire. Following the trend of a copious amount of their peers, they’ve taken on remixing the killer Avicii & Nicky Romero tune I Could Be The One. For us though, theirs is easily ahead of the pack with it’s irresistible buoyant beat, and expressive flavors that seamlessly tie it together. These guys never fail to bring the heat. Grab the download below and be sure to add this to your weekend party playlists!
Bondax – Gold (Snakehips Bootleg)

There’s nothing like having the very first track you listen to in the morning blow you away. It can easily set the mood for the day to come, and in this case, the whole weekend. Snakehips, a UK production duo previously unknown to us, did just that on this remix of everyone’s favorite wunderkinds Bondax. They’ve taken an already unbelievably unique track into a whole new space, adding some next-level funk and completely transforming the entire vibe. The tasteful groove, bouncing bass, and crushing synths all work together in unison to create a hands down feel good tune. This one’s sure to roll all the way through summer, so we advise you grab to hold now.
Bonus beats: Wild Belle – It’s Too Late (Snakehips Remix).

Jonsi – Around Us (The Chainsmokers Remix)

New York duo The Chainsmokers (half of which is D’Anconia, who’s already a Caveman Sound favorite) have been making some serious noise lately. Their latest conquest is a remix of a track by the uniquely voiced Jónsi, lead singer of Sigur Ros, with which they’ve capitalized on the magical vocals, added some huge synths, and transformed the track into an epic, high energy, progressive house anthem. If this embodiment of pure bliss doesn’t make you yearn for the summertime, we’re not sure what will. We expect nothing but greatness coming from these guys going forward, so you’ll definitely be hearing more on them soon. Now go grab the download below and start dreaming of sunshine and festival season.
The Smiths – This Charming Man (Luis Leon Bootleg)

From time to time a remix of an iconic song will pop-up, and we’re always skeptical of what the result will be, as most are so near perfect in their own right you’ve really got to tread carefully. But every once in awhile something like this comes along, a genius execution that parallels with the original so well you’re effectively hooked from the start. If The Smiths went electronic, this is what they’d sound like. Peru’s Luis Leon killed it with a deep house take on the classic, keeping the dark vibe alive but bringing it to the dance floor front and center. When that beat kicks in at 2:45 we dare you to resist moving your feet, it’s not possible. Go grab the download, here.
Alos check out this amazing take he’s done on another classic act Depeche Mode.

Zedd – Spectrum (Panic City SKYFALL bootleg)

San Francisco’s own resident DJ Panic City has been on a roll as of late, banging out remixes and originals like a champ. We’ve been fans of his work for awhile now, most recently featuring his killer remix of The xx’s track Chained, and he just continues to impress. This latest bootleg combining one of our favorite tracks this year, Spectrum, with his own remix of Adele’s 007 theme Skyfall is much akin to a fresh spicy tuna roll – equal parts refreshing and shock to your system. It’s a blend that works unbelievably well, making it a track essential to any party moment. Hit the download below and pile this one on to that weekend playlist!
While you’re at it grab his beast-mode original tune Mark Wahlberg sampling the actor’s (or should we say rapper’s) line from The Other Guys.

Doctor P – Bulletproof ft. Eva Simons (Case & Point Bootleg)

By now whenever Case & Point send a new track our way we just expect that we’re going to love it. And we do, every time. In their relatively short run these guys have yet to disappoint, having come out of the gates blazing and showing no signs of slowing down. Their latest rework of Doctor P’s Bulletproof featuring vocals from the wonderful Eva Simons is simply put, a beast. They’ve turned the surging, dynamic electro up to the max creating one serious banger of a tune that ebbs and flows in perfect sync. And once again the crispness of the production is absolutely top notch. Head over to their Facebook page for the download!

Ellie Goulding – Hanging On (Svyable + PRFFTT Bootleg)

Ellie Goudling’s ethereal cover of Active Child’s hauntingly beautiful track Hanging On has been making its was swiftly across the blogosphere, and naturally a myriad of remixes have been following in it’s wake. We’ve had many hit our ears at this point, but none as incredibly well done as Svyable and PRFFTT’s take on the track. This remix is a complex combination of one part emotional waves washing over you, and one part summer anthem. These guys did a phenomenal job of containing both Ellie and Active Child’s original allure and aligning themselves perfectly with it in order to take the track into a different realm. Not to mention it’s already drawn attention from the songstress herself. Big things coming for both Svyable and PRFFTT in the future.

Ellie Goulding – Lights (Feenixpawl Bootleg)

Feenixpawl is absolutely killing it right now. The Melbourne duo had their hand in one of the most massive tracks of the past year with In My Mind, as well as a number of huge remixes for the likes of Adrian Lux, Jurgen Vries, and Kaskade. But this latest bootleg of Ellie Goulding’s ethereal track Lights is out of this world. You can’t go wrong with Ellie Goulding’s voice and monster melodies, and the two are mixed to perfection here. These guys are about to have an enormous year, sure to be one of the fastest rising stars of 2012. Looks like the 4th of July celebration tomorrow, and the rest of the Summer for that matter, just got a little bit better with this instant anthem.

Morgan Page – Body Work ft. Tegan & Sara (Hollidayrain Remix)

Nobody can resist the combination of Tegan & Sara’s iconically entrancing vocals with the smooth melodies of Morgan Page. It’s like magnets to metal, the attraction is irresistible. Well now Colorado’s Hollidayrain has grabbed hold of their track Body Work, and made it massive on a whole different level. He’s replaced some of the more progressive elements with heavy slap-you-in-the-face electro. This one will surely get any situation bumping in an instant, but watch out for flailing limbs when that drop hits, things will definitely get a little wild (hint: this is a good thing). The Ting Tings – One By One (Timo Juuti & Hector 87 Disco Wobblez Bootleg)

Everybody loves a raucously infectious tune from The Ting Tings. Their sound suits any sort of fun times to be had. But now that Finnish duo Timo Juuti & Hector 87 have gotten a hold of their tune One By One, things have been taken up a notch. These dudes have been putting out some serious bangers lately. Their take on this track infuses the same type of energy brought by The Ting Tings themselves but in a style completely their own. It’s a funky fusion of almost Justice-esque proportions with just a little less rock and a lot more disco and womps. They’re doing a great job of creating a unique vibe all their own, can’t wait to hear what’s in store on their next release.
Be sure to check out their aggressively smooth remix of Joonas Hahmos’s track Sahailua as well, it kills it.

Phoenix – Lisztomania (MAKJ Remix)

Well after the frenzy has settled on the plethora of Phoenix remixes following their rise to fame a couple of years back, MAKJ has picked up their tune Lisztomania once again, dusted it off, and given it one hell of a shine. Remixing the track is nothing new, having about eight versions come to mind at first thought, but MAKJ did a pretty phenomenal job with this one. It’s glitzy, funky, and powerful, which is a bit of a switch up from his usual style, but we can dig it. And maybe it’s actually coming at the perfect time, when everyone’s craving something new in the way of Phoenix. Now we just need the band themselves to get some new material put out. Grab the jam below.
And If you’re feeling like you need some more traditional MAKJ sound blasting your ears, then make sure you pick up his absolutely massive bootleg of Adrian Lux’s Teenage Crime and Marco V’s Sound.

Porter Robinson, Deadmau5, Wolfgang Gartner – The Seconds, The Champ, Vandalism, Arguru (Porter Matchup)

Yesterday Porter Robinson announced he would give away on of his live mashups/remixes/bootlegs in return for fans help sharing his new tour poster. Well, it was shared over 400 times in 22 minutes, so he gave away four instead of just one. If you’ve seen Porter live, you know this is amazing news, because he puts on an incredible show and is one of the most talented mixers out there right now. All four of the mash’s are awesome. We’re particularly fond of The Seconds, The Champs, Vandalism, Arguru one. The blend of euphoric Deadmau5 mixed with Wolfgang and Porter’s heaving hitting electro is just epic. It’ll definitely help you get through this midweek hump.
