ANOTHER DAY. ANOTHER FIRE.

Electro

Skrillex ft. Ellie Goulding — Summit (Panic City & Mistermike Remix)

Panic City Summit Remix

Our main man Panic City has been on a serious hot streak lately, so much so that we can barely keep up with the fire he’s putting out. His latest conquest is a seriously massive remix of the Skrillex & Ellie Goulding track Summit, done in collaboration with LA’s Mistermike. They’ve taken the relatively subdued original and pumped it up with that big room electro/progressive flavor that we’ve come to know and love from Panic City, and left no room for standing still. It’s Saturday of the long weekend, it’s time to party, and this is what you should be listening to.

Futurecop! – Superheroes (Pony Pony Run Run Remix) | Misanthropist Wolf (F.O.O.L Remix)

Superheroes

There’s been some serious action going on in the world of Futurecop! over the past month, and now we’ve got even more to add. This past week they released another set of remixes for Superheroes and Misanthropist Wolf – both singles off their upcoming album Hopes, Dreams & Alienation set to be out later this year. A longtime favorite of ours Pony Pony Run Run, who have been quiet for far too long now, have done a bouncy indie-electro take on Superheroes. They’ve mixed in their French house vibes to perfection and, as we always expect them to, put together an absolute choice tune. Swedish duo F.O.O.L, on the other hand, got ahold of the heavy-hitting Misanthropist Wolf, and took things up a notch creating a grinding, raucous, bass-infused version of the track. Both remixes are available now for free download, so be sure to grab them below!

Metric – Stadium Love (Ron Flieger Remix)

Stadium Love

Ron Flieger helps us kick the weekend off on the right note with his brand new remix of Metric’s Stadium Love. Following hugely successful official work for both Ladyhawke and Foster The People, we’ve come to expect great things from the German producer, and that’s exactly what we get here. He’s done a killer mix on the original, keeping Emily Haines vocals at the forefront while adding in a crisp electro beat to back them up. Make sure you add this one to those weekend playlists. Happy Friday everybody!

Luke & Skywalker – Funk You (Original Mix)

Funk You

Luke & Skywalker are a duo, based out of both Phoenix and Charlotte respectively, who’s eclectic track Funk You recently came across our radar and we haven’t been able to get enough of it. The guys have combined some seriously catchy electro-funk flavor with a dose of robot vocals that gives it a touch of both Daft Punk and Madeon-esque styles. Genres and comparisons aside, this one is really hitting the spot for us right now. We’re definitely looking forward to hearing more like this from them in the future (possibly even a collaboration with Brazil’s Darth & Vader?), so do yourself a favor and pick it up below!

Futurecop! – Atlantis 1997 feat. Cavaliers of Fun

Futurecop! Atlantis

We’ve got some rather awesome tunes to share with you on this glorious Friday afternoon. Our long-time favorite retro dudes Futurecop! are out with a dreamier-than-dreamy new single Atlantis 1997, to be released March 23rd, that’s also accompanied by a few killer remixes. Naturally, the track encompasses their nostalgic 80′s sound to absolute perfection, inducing instant dance parties and epic daydreams full of magical rides through the clouds with Falkor and Atreyu (if you’re with me, I award you ten points). The remixes are both forces in their own right, and though fairly different in sound, each work incredibly well with the great vocals provided by Cavaliers of Fun.

You can hear P.A.F.F.’s big room remix here first, which transforms the original’s smooth vibe into a slamming electro track ready for anything and everything. And next, though he keeps it fairly tame in comparison, you’ll definitely be able to hear Uppermost’s unique brand of French electro coming through on his own mix. Both are available now for free download, so snatch them up, and keep your eyes peeled for the single release next week, as well as Futurecop!’s new album HOPES, DREAMS & ALIENATION out later this year!

RÜFÜS – Take Me

Take Me

Australia’s indie dance wunderkinds RÜFÜS just let loose Take Me, the first single from ATLAS, their debut album coming in a few months on Sweat It Out!. These guys have been making phenomenal music for awhile now, and are on the cusp of breaking out in a big way. This new track is a perfect display why; it’s intelligent, infectious, and blissful beyond belief. To top it off, the original’s release is accompanied by two choice remixes of the tune, both from fellow Aussies. The unstoppable Cassian has worked his usual magic, while AdaptOrDie, who happen to be members of The Swiss and Empire Of The Sun, pretty much says all you need to know right there. Each take has it’s own twists and turns, transforming the original into formidable songs in their own right. Check out Take Me, and download both remixes below (for free!), courtesy of the kind mates over at Sweat It Out!

Holding On

A couple of weeks back Classixx released their absolutely killer disco tune Holding On, the first single off their long awaited debut LP, which is out in May 14th (finally!). Naturally, we’ve been jamming to it nonstop, and it looks like we’ll be doing that even more now with this first-class remix that TABS just put out. They’ve done an excellent job of keeping the original funk intact, yet still adding their own electro flair to the mix. The result is a more charged-up version of the tune, sure to take you seamlessly from poolside party to nighttime antics. Scoop up the download below!

Southern California standout duo Norin & Rad are so thankful for hitting 20k fans on Facebook, they’ve graciously dropped this incredible tune on us for free. And boy are we glad. Snap!’s unique fusion of trance, electro, and deep house elements is flawless, and exactly what we were looking for to get into the weekend. It kicks off with a simple beat that continually builds upon itself until it’s unleashed in an all out barrage of sounds. These guys have been consistently hitting the mark with each new production, and are effortlessly setting the tone for a huge year. KOTA – Masters Of The Sun

Masters Of The Sun

We know next to nothing about KOTA aka Kids Of The Apocolypse, other than the following message that we discovered while exploring their seriously awesome website – ‘Living for a century without a frontier, the time for creation has begun. We will not seek power, only release it. It must live free now. THE UNIVERSE WANTS TO PLAY.’ – Now if that doesn’t stir your mystery solving intellect, we don’t know what will. Regardless of the scant solid information on them, their powerful track Masters Of The Sun had quite an impression on us. With its commanding undertones, repetitively persuasive verses, and entrancing slaps of bass, it’s a pretty gripping production overall. You can easily imagine undertaking an epic adventure of intrigue and triumph with this playing out as the soundtrack. It feels like there’ll be big things coming soon, and we can’t wait to hear more.

Felix Cartal – Lullaby (feat. Natalie Angiuli)

Lullaby

We kind of slept on posting this due to the hectic holiday nature of the past couple weeks, but we’ve really been digging this track since Felix Cartal let it loose last month. Lullaby is the B-side in a set of tunes he’s made with vocalist Natalie Angiuli. It’s a divergence from his usual aggressive, electro driven style, showing us a more delicately constructed side to his production. He wraps a beautiful melody around outstanding vocals making for a powerful and intoxicating track all around. Pick up the free download below!

Hot Mouth has been tearing it up lately with a handful of solid remixes, and a huge release in Totally Worth It. The track is an animal in it’s original state, and this remix only takes that up a notch. You can always count on PeaceTreaty to go big, which is a trend that doesn’t change here. ZHU – Radar ft. Cassie Cardelle

Radar

We just picked up ZHU’s four track EP which he dropped last month, and were really pleasantly surprised. If you’re unfamiliar ZHU is a new producer with origins in San Francisco, but now based in Los Angeles, who is quickly capturing the ears of many. He’s already shared the stage with some big names, and gets influence from Deadmau5, Wolfgang Gartner, and Kaskade, which is evident in his electro-progressive sound. Radar, a standout track from the EP, is somewhere you can definitely hear these similarities. It’s infectious beyond belief so have a listen and download below.

Zedd ft. Foxes – Clarity (Aylen Remix)

Only a week after Zedd released an acapella from the wonderful Foxes of his track Clarity, remixes are springing up left and right. Tackling a Zedd tune is no easy feat, but as soon as we saw Aylen had a go, we knew his take would be right on the money. He seamlessly integrates a dubstep sound into the track, not slamming you with bass but letting it wash over you in powerful, endless waves. It compliments the original work from Zedd, along with Foxes vocals, absolutely perfect. This surely won’t be the last remix you’ll hear of this track, but it should definitely be the first.
